SCHOOL BAGS:
Buy a BIG NAVY BLUE school bag with dividers.
We prefer this suitcase because it:-
- has a rigid body in order to protect books
- is considerably larger than an A4 book
- can hold shoes, lunchbox, jersey, large files etc.
- can be a bag on wheels with above requirements.
PLEASE DO NOT BUY:
- a knapsack a gym / sports bag brand name
- a small suitcase a plastic box case cartoon character bags
THE FOLLOWING IS VERY IMPORTANT:
PRINT your child’s name AND surname on the TOP surface of the suitcase (on either side of the handle. Use a WHITE marker. This is for your child’s safety so that when the suitcases are packed in a line each name is clearly visible. It also prevents children from taking home the wrong suitcase.
MARKING CLOTHES AND OTHER ITEMS:
It is advisable to invest in a permanent black marker, tags or labels with your child`s name on.
These can be used throughout the years on all items.
ALL ITEMS, including school clothes, MUST be clearly marked. Don`t forget socks and shoes!!!
TRANSPORT
!!!!Very important!!!!
Please make the following arrangements
If your child will be going home by taxi, hired transport, an aftercare center or with a day-mother, ensure that your child KNOWS who to go with on the first day. Also ensure that the person who must collect your child knows which class he/she is in.
Ensure that your child has your correct contact details in their possession at all times. Contact details of a family member or friend whom we can contact in emergencies, is also needed.
